About

Trevor Marshallsea
Author and Journalist

The unplanned witnessing of a Rosehill horse race during half time in the footy in the 1970s - won in explosive fashion by an obscure gelding named Wotta Krakka - sparked a love of racing which ultimately spawned an international career in journalism and writing.

Kicking off as a racing writer under the renowned Bart Sinclair at the Brisbane Sun in the 1980s, Trevor later branched into other fields, including stints as a foreign correspondent in Beijing, London and Canada.

A return to Sydney in 2015 brought a return to his first love - racing - with best-selling books on Peter Moody, Winx, and Makybe Diva, as well as weekly columns on breeding and breeders for ANZ Bloodstock News and Thoroughbred Daily News.

Trevor bring a vast range of experience in virtually all forms of writing across all platforms, having also been a senior staff writer for outlets including the Sydney Morning Herald and Australian Associated Press.

He is also contributing racing editor for FoxSports.com.au, and has written for organisations including the BBC, The Associated Press, The Guardian, Players Voice and the Huffington Post.

Never happier than when on course, be it Randwick, Flemington or the bush, he has also taken in racedays in various corners of the world including the UK, Turkey, Japan, South Africa, Hong Kong and the US.
